I'm a third year graduate student of Astronomy and Astrophysics at UCSC. I was born in Chile, a very long country in South America known for its good wine production and, in Astronomy, by the large telescopes that take advantege of our clear northern sky.
I did my undergraduate studies in Astronomy at the Engineering School of the Universidad de Chile.
In 2006 I came to Santa Cruz after being awarded a Fulbright - Conicyt scholarship for PhD. studies in Science and Technology.
My main interest in Astronomy is Galaxy formation and Evolution. I'm currently working with Professor David Koo in a project that involves the analysis of spectra of faint sources from the DEEP2 Redshift Survey.
