I have participated in the Professional Development Program (formerly Professional Development Workshop) orchestrated by the Center for Adaptive Optics, first as a student and later as an instructor. I have collaborated with other graduate students, postdocs, and community college instructors to design outreach courses through the Center for Adaptive Optics at UCSC. I have put these designs into practice, leading inquiry-based short courses on color, light, and spectra at Maui Community College in Kahului, HI and on cosmology at Hartnell Community College.
