Ciao!,
I'm a theoretical astrophysicist, currently working as post-doc at UCO/Lick Observatory.

I was born in Como, in Italy, where I lived my middle/late 20s. I studied Plasma Physics at the University of Como and at the University of Milan. Later, I moved to Mexico to do my PhD at UNAM (in Mexico City). After my PhD, I went to Dublin for a "Marie Curie" post-doctoral position. Now, I am back to this side of the Ocean again!
I have a wife and a three years old son.

Research Interests

My main areas of interests are the following:

  • The study of stellar jets, by numerical simulations, inverse theory, data analysis, etc.

  • Numerical simulations of astrophysical fluids (jets, disks, supernova remnants, stellar winds and coronae, ...).

  • Code development: development/implementation of numerical methods for the integration of hyperbolic equations, adaptive mesh refinement and code parallelization.

  • Analytical and numerical calculations of the structure of disks around young stellar objects.
