Ciao!,
I am a postdoc at the Astronomy and Astrophysics Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

I was born in Como (Italy), where I did my undergraduate studies in Plasma Physics between the Universities of Como and Milan. I did my PhD in Astrophysics at the "Instituto de Astronomia" (UNAM, Mexico). After my PhD, I went to Dublin for a "Marie Curie" post-doctoral position. Now, I am back to this side of the Ocean again, in California at UCSC!

I mainly work on numerical simulations of astrophysical fluids, as jets, disks, supernova remnants, supernovae, relativistic flows, stellar winds and coronae. In particular, I am interested in understanding the behaviour of jets at different scales: Herbig-Haro outflows, jet-driving core-collapse supernovae, and GRBs. To study these systems, I develop/implement numerical/computational methods for the integration of hyperbolic equations, including adaptive mesh refinement and code parallelization.
