    A recent portrait Welcome to my official homepage! I'm a postdoctoral research scholar at the UCO/Lick Observatory at the Department of Astronomy & Astrophysics of UC Santa Cruz. My research focuses on the intergalactic medium and the reionization history of hydrogen and helium in the universe. I'm also interested in the radiative feedback of quasars onto their surroundings and the relative contributions of quasars and star-forming galaxies to the ultraviolet background that keeps the intergalactic medium highly ionized. I'm in the IMPS group at UC Santa Cruz. Before coming to Santa Cruz, I did my Ph.D. with Lutz Wisotzki at the Astrophysical Institute Potsdam.
