OSIRIS Codes

  • OSIRIS codes can be downloaded from the UCLA OSIRIS website http://www.astro.ucla.edu/~irlab/osiris/
  • It can be challenging to get these codes loaded onto your machine so we recommend starting early.
  • You will want to download and install 1) the Observing Planning GUI, 2) Quicklook2, and 3) the Data Reduction Pipeline Gui.

  • Available on Request contact Shelley Wright saw@uci.edu

NIRC2 Codes

  • Click here to download an IDL NIRC2 Reduction Pipeline
  • You should upack this tar file in your IDL directory.
  • This pipeline was designed for the widefield NIRC2 camera and was created for the CfAO Teasury Survey (CATS)
  • We are providing it during this workshop as an option for your NIRC2 data, but it is good to be aware of its limitations.
  • These programs require the IDL astro library. You should put the astro library programs into your idl path.
  • The routine also needs the following program to be in your idl path bytsci.pro
  • We also ran into an odd IDL mouse clicking problem. To overcome this you may need to type the following command in your x11 window (without idl running).

defaults write com.apple.x11 wm_click_through -bool true

After entering this command, restart your x11 session. You should only need to do this once.
