Outsiders see /usr/local/ftp/users as the anonymous ftp directory
ftp://ftp.ucolick.org/pub/users
These directories have been created to permit long-term use of ftp by selected users and groups of users. This service is available by petition to UCO/Lick system management. Files here do not persist indefinitely, but do last longer than 3 days. Unless there is a strong reason otherwise, directories here are named for their principal user.
Note that it makes relatively little sense for these directories to host incoming files. Any directory open for insertion of files from outside must also permit deletion of files by anonymous outsiders.
