Hello Nicole,
The moon is, on average, 384,400 kilometers (that is about 230,000 miles)
away from the Earth. There have ben many proposals to send people back to
the moon in the near future. At the present, NASA does not have plans to
send any people to the moon. To the best of my knowledge, no other group
has serious plans to send people back to the moon in the near future.
Thanks for writing!
Sincerely,
Kurtis Williams
