How can I find out sunset times for any given location?

Hello Mary,
I am Debra Fischer, a grad student at Lick Observatory and UCSC.
The USNO maintains a web site that will give you the time of
sunset for a given date adn location. Their interactive query
page can be found at:
http://tycho.usno.navy.mil/srss.html

The time difference between the moment the sun touches the horizon,
and the time it drops out of sight is 120 seconds, or 2 minutes.
I am not absolutely sure which of these times sunset refers to, but I will
try to find out for you.

Good luck with your research,
Regards,
Debra
