Hello,
Since the arrival of the Galileo space probe at Jupiter, scientists have
collected TONS of information on Europa. europa is exciting, because it
is covered in a thick layer of ice, and may have a giant liquid water
ocean beneath the ice shell. On the Earth, wherever there is water, you
can find life. So Europa may be the best hope in the soalr system for
finding extraterrestrial life.
The Jet Propulsion Laboratory is part of NASA responsible for
interplanetary space probes. Their web site on Europa is:
http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/galileo/europa/
This site contains cool pictures and this history of exploration of
Europa.
thanks for writing!
Sincerely,
