Robin Horn manages the UCO Publications Office, which authors and maintains the public section of the UCO website and provides publishing, webpage, and graphics services to UCO academics based at UCSC. The Publications Office also negotiates copyright agreements for use of Lick Observatory images in media and exhibits, and sells photos to the public. Publications does the following:
Web Authoring
- Writes, edits, illustrate and uploads public and administrative information on the UCO website
- Designs, edits and/or uploads scientific pages/websites upon request
- Creates websites for UCO-sponsored events and workshops
- Contact for UCO affiliates with additions to UCO website: webeditor@ucolick.org
UCO Services: Publishing
- Liaisons between researchers and scientific journals
- Manages page charge forms and POs, ensuring prompt publication and payment
- Supports monograph production
- Maintains manuscript webpage for authors
UCO Services: Web & Graphics
- Designs, edits, uploads academic webpages
- Produces illustrations for publications and presentations
- Produces powerpoint illustrations for public presentations
- Assists and instructs in use of graphics, web, and presentations software

- Publishes and distributes Lick Observatory Technical Reports (LOTR)
- Compiles and maintains webpage of online journal links
Public Services: Photos & Permissions
- Administers all copyright agreements and permissions for use of UCO images
- Supplies publicity images to the media
- Sells Lick Observatory photos to general public and museums and other institutions
