Opening for a PhD Position:

A PhD position (funded for 3 yrs) will be available at the Argelander Institute, in Bonn, Germany, from July 2009 or later. The student is expected to work with me on a theoretical project on supernova/GRB progenitors, the evolution of metal poor massive stars in the early universe, or other related topics, and will also have the opportunity to interact with other members in the Stellar Astrophysics Group in Bonn (led by Prof. N. Langer). Please contact me via email for more details, if interested.

Research
My research focuses on stellar evolution theory and its applications to supernovae, gamma-ray bursts, the first stars and cosmology.
Here is the list of publications.
