-Internal Structural Evolution of Massive Models
Convection plots calculated from the solar metallicity (no rotation and no magnetic fields) models in the mass range 12-30Msol calculated with the 1D implicit hydrodynamic code KEPLER. The y-axis is the inner 4Msol in lagrangian coordinates and the x-axis is the log time untill the core collapse (collapse speed > 1000km/s). Shaded parts are convective regions where the temperature gradient is supeadiabatic. Notice the convective carbon core dissappears around 20Msol.
