We ask that you provide us with a working email address primarily to prevent dishonest submissions to the site.
We may send a single email to the address you provide in order to confirm your signing of the petition.
You do NOT need to respond to this email in order to have your name added to the petition. However, if the address provided is invalid (i.e. if our email bounces back) or if the user of the email account tells us that in fact he or she did not intend to sign our petition, the signature will removed.
Provided that the user of the email account does not respond with any sort of complaint, we do not intend to send more than a single email to the address provided. We will not share your contact information with any party outside of this campaign.
