WORK EXPERIENCE
1974 - Current Senior Electronics Tech UCO/Lick Observatory , Univ. of Calif., Santa Cruz, CA
Working from engineering drawings, sketches or descriptions, construct a variety of analog and digital instruments using an assortment of electrical, electronic and machine shop hand and power tools. Instruments are primarily digital. Some design work is occasionally required. Maintain and do periodic upgrades on 5 IBM PCs connected by an ethernet network. I have programmed in 2 assembly languages, Focal, Forth and dabbled in C. Perform all aspects of purchasing for the Electronics Lab of Lick Observatory. For 5 years, collected project management data and produced reports for the project manager using project management software. Created a spreadsheet model of the project that proved helpful in projecting completion dates. In addition to my own haphazard personal site, I have built and maintained 3 small web sites for other organizations. The only one still alive is Baymonte Christian School.
