Professional:  I am Professor of Astronomy & Astrophysics at the University of California, Santa Cruz and also Astronomer at the University of California Observatories.  I also currently serve as the Associate Director of Lick Observatory.

Familial:  I am married to one lovely wife (Gabrielle) and we have 3 growing boys (pictured above).
