**The prices in bold on the previous page ("you pay $97.99 for the first..." for example) have already been figured out for you. If you are buying one of those 3 styles of jackets, you don't need to go through this calculation!

How we determined the prices for Lick subsidized jackets:

1. ADD TOGETHER:
Cost of jacket from Land's End
$5 for logo application
$5 for shipping/handling

2. FIGURE TAX:
Sales tax at 7.75% (multiply the total of #1 above by 1.0775)
**Note: Land's End may not charge tax, but UCSC has to pay 7.75% tax to the State whether or not we are charged for it by a vendor. This is why tax is included in the price calculation.

3. DEDUCT:
Subtract $20 Lick subsidy from total of step 2 above

**If you are buying more than one jacket, you only get one with a $20 deduction. When calculating the costs of second jackets, we went through steps 1 and 2 but NOT Step 3. Call or email Heather (heather@ucolick.org) if you have questions (831-459-5095).
