Optical Quality
The camera is operating 20C above design temperature,
and optical design predicts some coma at the edge of the
field. The predicted length of tails is 9 px. We see 0 to 14
pixels from the middle to the edge of the field. The tails are
present because the camera focal length is too long at room
temperature, and Element 9 is not at the right place in the
converging beam. This induces primarily radial coma that
should go away at 0C.
In the center of the field where coma is not a problem, we
see aberrations that are expected by the optical design
(<<2px rms dia).
The bottom line on image quality is that the real test is at
the outer part of the FOV, and we will not be able to say
much until we get to HI at 0C.
