Architecture: Dispatchers / Motor Controllers
On shark.ucolick.org, 6 dispatcher (server) services
manage motor controllers:
-
4 dispatchers (saomot1, saomot2, saomot3 and
saomot7) manage 4 Galil motor controllers.
Communication to the Galil motor contollers (saomot1,
saomot2, saomot3, saomot7) is via
router: saorouter.ucolick.org.

1 dispatcher (saomot4) manages a RIO motor controller.

1 dispatcher (saomot5) manages ThorLabs filter wheels.
Communication to the TT Filter wheel (saomot5) is via
Lantronix ao-serial-1.ucolick.org.
Communication to the Sci Filter wheel (saomot5) is via
Lantronix ao-serial-2.ucolick.org.

Following the 2019/2020 upgrade of the WFS mechanism the following
(struck-out) services are no longer installed/used:
STEER2RY, STEER2RX, STEER1RX, STEER1RY, WFSFOCUS.
