A while ago I mentioned in this list an idea for using the
Internet Domain Name System to disseminate leap second
information. Since then I have:
a) thought of a cleaner and easier to use implementation
than the one mentioned then and
b) come across a precedent for such an "abuse" of the
DNS.
The last few day's correspondence have reminded me to
