Conclusions

• Transition to distributed burning observed at densities around 107 g cm-3

• Scaling of velocity with area is not purely geometric in the flamelet regime.

• Thickened flame approximation does not agree with DNS at densities considered.

• Overall mixed region extent grows slower than Sharp-Wheeler model.

• Localized DDT is not supported by distributed burning calculations.
