Welcome to Michael Bolte's WWW page. I'm a faculty member of the University of California Observatories and the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of California, Santa Cruz. The University of California Observatories is a Multi-campus Research Unit that manages the UC optical/infrared facilities: Lick Observatory, the W.M. Keck Observatory (jointly managed with Caltech) and extensive laboratory facilities. UCO is also the home for a world-leading research in astronomy and astrophysics and astronomical instrumentation. UCO is center for the UC participation in the Thirty-Meter Telescope project to build the first of the next generation groundbased giant telescopes.
