Catedral

Views over Sevilla from La Giralda. In the background can be seen the Barqueta and Alamillo bridges, built for Expo '92.

More views.

The Catedral, with its tower La Giralda. La Giralda is the only remnant of the Almohad mosque, built in 1198.
The Catedral was built in the 15th century, and is the world's largest Gothic cathedral.

Alcázar

The 9th-century walls of the 14th-century Moorish-style Real Alcázar, and inside, the Palacio Mudéjar with the Patio de las Doncellas.
Here is where Fernando and Isabella received Columbus upon his return.

More detailwork, and the gardens.

Along the Río Guadalquivir: Torre del Oro (built in 1200 by the Almohads), and La Giralda in the background.

Segments of the 12th century city walls in La Macarena; other scenes around the city including the Convento de la Encarnación on Plaza de la Virgen de los Reyes, and an entrance to the reknowned Plaza de Toros Maestranza.

Beautiful architecture, including the Teatro Lope de Vega.

Street scenes.

Plaza de España

Plaza de España was built for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929 (which didn't really happen because of the stock market crash).
It has been more recently featured as a distant planet location in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones (see below).
