Technical / observational experience

• CCD imaging / photometry ($UBVRI$ + Strömgren system): $>50$ nights of observing experience at the Danish 1.54 m telescope / ESO, La Silla and 2.56 m Nordic Optical Telescope, La Palma. Numerous observing runs at the Lick 3m telescope and various smaller telescopes.

• Spectroscopy: Multislit spectroscopy at Keck / LRIS (several observing runs), including slitmask design. Low/medium resolution longslit spectroscopy with Danish 1.54 m telescope (DFOSC instrument).

  High-dispersion spectroscopy observations at Keck / HIRES.

• IR imaging / spectroscopy: Observing runs at Lick 3-m / GEMINI (imaging) and Keck / NIRSPEC (echelle spectroscopy)

• HST: PI on HST programme GO-8715 (Cycle 9, 2 orbits) for WFPC2 observations of a young massive cluster in NGC 6946. Co-I on programme AR-9523, ``The Structure of Young Massive Star Clusters in Spiral Galaxies'' (Cycle 11). Reduced / analysed numerous WFPC2 observations of globular clusters and young star clusters in external galaxies.

• I am a member of the Science Team for OSIRIS, a low-dispersion spectrograph / imaging system for the 10 m GTC (Gran Telescopio Canarias) on La Palma, Canary Islands

• Miscellaneous astronomical observations:

  Photoelectric $uvby$ observations with 50 cm Strömgren Automatic Telescope, ESO, La Silla. Photoelectric $BV$ photometry with Brorfelde 25 cm telescope.

  Extraction of lightcurves for eclipsing LMC/SMC binaries using $uvby$ CCD photometry. Time Series CCD photometry of $\delta$ Scuti stars with the Brorfelde Schmidt Telescope (bachelor project).

  Astrometry: Alignment of the Meridian Circle at Brorfelde Observatory (1st year astronomy project).

• Other:

  Volunteer guide at the Lick 40 inch telescope for the Lick ``summer visitors program'' (public viewing through the telescope).

  Wrote autoguider software for the Schmidt Telescope at the Copenhagen University Observatory, Brorfelde.

  Wrote PC-based data acquisition and reduction software for photoelectric photometry at the Brorfelde 25cm telescope.

  Wrote software for an autoclave control system at the Nykomed DAK medical laboratory in Næstved, Denmark.

  IRAF administrator at Copenhagen University Observatory (1997 - 1999).

  Assisting computer system administrator at NORDITA, managing Sun and Silicon Graphics workstations (1995 - 1996).

  Extensive programming experience with C, Pascal, IDL, IRAF.

  Extensive experience with Unix / Linux.
