This is a package put together by Jason X. Prochaska, Joe
Hennawai, and Scott Burles to reduce spectra from a number of
instruments.
In particular, there is a package called LowRes which can be
used to reduce LRIS spectra. This includes a library of
calibration files and some special purppose software.
This is the package the DEEP team put together for reducing their
data. It has many useful features, it is completely automated,
and optimized for reducing 1200 line DEIMOS data.
Dan Kelson of OCIW has put together a large package of Python
software that can reduce data from a number of spectrographs,
ranging from echelles to low resolution multi-slit data.
The software is completely self-contained.
Matt Auger has written a small, mostly self-contained package of
Python scripts to reduce LRIS data.
This package is written for LRIS specifically, uses a lot of the
same techniques as other peoples code (such as Kelson, DEEP2 or
XIDL) but manages to be much smaller because of its simple focus.
This is a set of IRAF scripts put together by Dan Stern, Adam
Stanford and Andy Bunker. Currently, Dan Stern does much of the
maintenence. Like with Matt Auger's package, this is mostly
self-contained but written for a single purpose, to reduce
multi-slit LRIS data.
The big advantages are that it is fast but produces published data.
This is very handy for use at the telescope.
