Important Travel Information:
During winter, please take extra precaution driving on Mt. Hamilton Road up to Lick Observatory. Snow and black ice can cause hazardous road conditions.


Accomodation

On-site accomodation at Lick Observatory is available for astronomers only; visiting guests should make accomodation arrangements in San Jose.

There are several hotels in the San Jose area to choose from. Make sure to allow an hour from San Jose to the summit of Mt. Hamilton.
